Commercial General Insurance (CGI) is a leading general insurance company in Cyprus, founded in 1973 by Commercial Union Assurance plc of the UK (now Aviva plc) and the Christophides Group, which had represented the company in Cyprus since 1925; it later became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Christophides Group.
