Djøf Forsikring is an exclusive insurance brand for members of Djøf (the Danish Association of Lawyers and Economists), launched on 1 January 2023 in partnership with Købstædernes Forsikring, Gensidig, which is Denmark's oldest customer-owned insurance company and acts as risk carrier and claims handler for all policies sold under the Djøf Forsikring brand.

Regulatory updates
Finanstilsynet has issued several orders to Købstædernes Forsikring (the risk carrier behind Djøf Forsikring) in recent years, including a May 2023 order for having conducted insurance business without the necessary licence since 2016, a September 2024 order requiring the company to properly establish customers' needs before online sales of contents insurance, and a 2023 order on compliance with investigation regulations. In December 2025, Finanstilsynet reported that a cross-sector review of non-life insurers' compliance with EU sanctions against Russia, which included Købstædernes Forsikring, found the inherent risk of sanctions breaches to be low and did not lead to supervisory reactions.
