TJM Forsikring is a Danish member-based insurance community founded in 1936 by railway trade unions, originally under the name Tjenestemændenes Forsikring. It is owned and founded by a group of trade unions and professional organisations and offers insurance exclusively to members of around 60+ affiliated organisations and their adult children. TJM operates from its head office in Valby, Copenhagen, serving over 100,000 customers with the help of local part-time insurance advisors called 'forsikringstillidsmænd'. TJM has a close cooperation with Tryg, Denmark's largest insurer, which provides financial backing and underwriting infrastructure; policies are covered under Tryg Forsikring A/S's CVR registration.
