Regulatory updates
In June 2024, Finanstilsynet conducted a functional inspection of Tryg's Tryg Garanti business area, examining risk management for credit and surety insurance sold through European branches. Following a further functional inspection of Tryg Livsforsikring A/S in December 2024 and January 2025, the subsidiary received five orders relating to governance documents, reporting, and documentation. In 2021, Tryg received an order to stop requiring customers' personal identification numbers (CPR) as a precondition for receiving an insurance quote. In 2022, Tryg accepted a DKK 900,000 fine for violating equal treatment rules regarding pregnant policyholders.
