Regulatory updates
In December 2024, the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority (Finantsinspektsioon) issued a precept to Salva Kindlustuse AS ordering it to remedy deficiencies found during an on-site inspection, including insufficient separation and independence of control functions at management and unit level, and non-compliant or unfollowed internal rules; the inspection also covered handling of motor liability, voluntary vehicle, travel and home insurance claims. Separately, Finantsinspektsioon fined Salva Kindlustuse AS EUR 10,000 for providing policyholders with false information and violating financial services advertising requirements in relation to MTPL advertisements placed via a partner (Europark Estonia OÜ) between October 2023 and April 2024.
