Allianz France is registered with the ACPR as a 'Société de groupe d'assurance' (group vehicle, identifier 229889) with subsidiaries such as Allianz IARD and Allianz Vie separately supervised. Historically, in a notable sanction, the ACPR fined Allianz Vie €50 million with a formal reprimand in December 2014 for failing to properly manage unclaimed life-insurance policies (contrats en déshérence), which was at the time the heaviest sanction ever imposed by the regulator in this area.
