Regulatory updates
Since December 2010, private insurance supervision in Greece is exercised by the Bank of Greece. As of 1 January 2025, the supervisory directorate was renamed from DEIA to DEEIA. In 2025, Interasco aligned with new Law 5116/2024 requiring mandatory vehicle insurance against forest fire, flood and earthquake risks (effective 01/06/2025). New Law 5193/2025, in force from 11 April 2025, introduced significant changes to the insurance application process.
