Regulatory updates
In April 2023 the Hungarian state, acting through Corvinus Nemzetközi Befektetési Zrt., completed the purchase of the German Talanx Group's 66.9% stake in Magyar Posta Biztosító Zrt. and Magyar Posta Életbiztosító Zrt., making the Posta Biztosító companies wholly Hungarian-owned alongside co-owner Magyar Posta Zrt. (33.1%). Corvinus subsequently put its stake back up for sale in late 2023, and as of mid-2025 a new sale process and change of CEO (Freund László, effective 1 October) were reported while the group remains under Magyar Nemzeti Bank supervision.
