Regulatory updates
BAN's supervisory authority has been Latvijas Banka since 1 January 2023, after the Financial and Capital Market Commission (FKTK) was integrated into Latvijas Banka. The insurer holds licenses across multiple non-life classes (accident, health, land vehicle/CASCO, MTPL, ship, credit, suretyship and assistance insurance, among others), including freedom of establishment and freedom to provide services in Estonia (since 2011) and Lithuania. At the end of 2024 the company registered a branch in the Republic of Lithuania.
