Regulatory updates
On 30 April 2025, Latvia's Competition Council (KP) approved ERGO International AG's acquisition of ADB Gjensidige and its Baltic branches. All required regulatory approvals in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia were fulfilled, and the transaction was completed in early January 2026. ADB Gjensidige is now being integrated into ERGO Insurance SE through a merger; the Gjensidige brand is to be phased out by end of 2026. From 29 April 2026 new Gjensidige insurance products can no longer be purchased, with ERGO products offered instead. Existing Gjensidige policies remain valid until expiry.
