Regulatory updates
MAPFRE Middlesea p.l.c. (C-5553) is authorised by the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) to carry on both Long-Term and General Business of insurance under the Insurance Business Act, Cap. 403 of the Laws of Malta. In terms of the European Passport Rights for Insurance and Reinsurance Undertakings Regulations (Legal Notice 399 of 2015), the company is also authorised to carry on insurance services in multiple EU jurisdictions. As of January 2025, new executive appointments were made including a new CEO for MAPFRE Middlesea and a new CEO for MAPFRE MSV Life, subject to regulatory approval by the MFSA.
