Regulatory updates
UNIQA's operations in Poland are supervised by the KNF (Komisja Nadzoru Finansowego). In September 2020, the KNF approved UNIQA Group's acquisition of AXA's Polish insurance companies. The group operates under Solvency II requirements. In 2024, UNIQA Poland launched a central international programmes hub serving all UNIQA countries. The group achieved record gross written premiums of PLN 5.5 billion in 2024 (up 18.9% year-on-year). Polish financial institutions including insurers are also subject to DORA digital operational resilience requirements effective January 2025.
