Regulatory updates
UNIQA's Polish entities are supervised by the KNF, which approved Marcin Nedwidek as CEO of the merged UNIQA TU and UNIQA TU na Życie companies in 2021; he remains CEO as of 2026. In 2022, KNF fined UNIQA Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń for 11 cases of delayed or refused claims payments, and separately UOKiK fined the company (for legacy AXA Życie practices) over 10 million PLN for unlawful distribution/allocation fee clauses in unit-linked life products. In 2025, UNIQA Poland ended the year with a record gross written premium of PLN 6.1 billion (up 10.6% y/y) and record gross profit of PLN 459 million, and launched a new motor insurance brand, Pevno (July 2025), later expanded with full AC cover (early 2026). In 2026, UNIQA received awards including 'Best Digital Insurer' and 'Ethics Leader 2025', and updated its general motor insurance terms (OWU) via a May 2026 board resolution.
