Overview
TUiR Warta S.A. is one of the oldest and largest insurance companies in Poland, with the company stating it has operated on the Polish market since 1920. The Warta Group comprises TUiR Warta S.A. (property, motor, travel and liability insurance) and TUnŻ Warta S.A. (life insurance), registered at Rondo Ignacego Daszyńskiego 1 in Warsaw's Warsaw Unit skyscraper, where Warta relocated its headquarters in 2021. In February 2026, German insurer Talanx completed the acquisition of the remaining 24.3% stake in Warta from Japan's Meiji Yasuda, making Talanx the sole owner. Warta holds an S&P financial strength rating of A+ (stable) and has been ranked first in claims-handling quality in Poland for eight consecutive years.

Regulatory updates
Talanx finalized the buyout of Meiji Yasuda's remaining 24.3% stake in Warta, with shares transferred on 16 February 2026, making Talanx the sole shareholder of Warta and TU Europa. The deal followed a January 2025 agreement in which Talanx and Meiji Yasuda agreed to end their long-standing strategic partnership after it expired on 31 December of the prior year, and it received the necessary regulatory clearances. Warta continues to operate under KNF supervision, whose 2026 supervisory priorities cover the insurance sector, consumer credit market and digital resilience. Warta has also expanded its commercial product range in 2026, launching a new cyber insurance product for businesses covering business interruption, cyber extortion and data recovery costs.
