Regulatory updates
GENERALI zavarovalnica d.d. is supervised by the Insurance Supervision Agency (AZN) under the Slovenian Insurance Act, holding authorization no. 30200-2298/03-22DP. According to the AZN Annual Report 2024, the four largest insurers in Slovenia (Triglav, Sava, Generali and Vzajemna) together controlled 80.9% of the insurance market in 2023, and the sector recorded significantly higher net profits in 2024 than in 2023. In mid-2024, the Slovenian Association of Auto Repair Shops (SDA) publicly criticized several insurers, alleging that Generali and Sava were inconsistent in paying the uncontested portion of claims to some repair shops and claimants, a practice AZN said it was not aware being mandatory. Generali is also subject to Solvency II reporting requirements and has adhered to the Corporate Governance Code for non-public companies since 2016, alongside its own Code of Conduct.
