Regulatory updates
MAPFRE has been classified by the DGSFP as the only Internationally Active Insurance Group (IAIG) in Spain, subject to the ComFrame supervisory framework. The DGSFP's 2023–2025 supervisory priorities include resilience, sustainability, data quality, use of AI, DORA compliance, and market conduct. MAPFRE regularly publishes its Solvency and Financial Condition Report (SFCR) under Solvency II. In 2025, MAPFRE returned its auto insurance business to profitability in Spain, closing the crisis of 2021–2023.
