Regulatory updates
In March 2022, Finanstilsynet confirmed that Codan Forsikring A/S accepted a fine of DKK 600,000 from the National Unit for Special Crime (NSK) for violating insurance equal treatment rules — specifically for having policy terms that discriminated against pregnant women (reported to police in July 2021). In November 2021, Finanstilsynet approved Alm. Brand's acquisition of Codan Forsikring A/S's Danish activities. On 31 March 2024, Codan Forsikring A/S formally merged into Alm. Brand Forsikring A/S, with Codan continuing as a customer-facing brand.
