Finanstilsynet carried out a risk-based inspection of Himmerland Forsikring G/S in December 2015 covering the business model, reserves, reinsurance, investments, solvency and capital position. The regulator concluded that the company's overall reserves and reinsurance cover for large risks were adequate, and the company held solvency coverage of around 400% at end-2015; a minor order regarding clearer benchmark definitions in the investment policy was issued and fulfilled the same month, alongside a reprimand on risk-assessment time horizons under Solvency II.
