Regulatory updates
Finanstilsynet has issued several orders to Købstædernes Forsikring in recent years. In May 2023 the authority ruled that the company had conducted insurance business without the required license since January 2016 and ordered it to legalize the matter. In November 2023 it was ordered to comply with the investigation order regarding surveillance of injured parties, and in September 2024 it was ordered to properly establish customers' needs and requirements before online sales of home contents insurance. In December 2025, following a cross-sectoral investigation into compliance with EU sanctions against Russia, Finanstilsynet found the company's inherent risk of breaching the sanctions to be low and the review did not lead to supervisory reactions.
