Allianz Deutschland AG is under ongoing BaFin supervision. In 2022–2023, BaFin called on Allianz to improve its internal controls following issues at its US funds unit and flagged IT deficiencies, with the possibility of capital surcharges under Solvency II. BaFin also issued warnings in 2024 against fraudulent entities misusing the Allianz name ('Kapital Allianz', 'Allianz Invest').
