Regulatory updates
In 2023, the Bank of Greece approved the merger of Allianz Hellas and Ευρωπαϊκή Πίστη by absorption, with a full portfolio transfer completed and the combined entity rebranded as Allianz Ευρωπαϊκή Πίστη Μ.Α.Α.Ε. In May 2026, Allianz SE and the National Bank of Greece (NBG) signed a Memorandum of Understanding for NBG to acquire a 30% minority stake in Allianz Greece and enter a 10-year exclusive bancassurance agreement, subject to regulatory approvals. The insurer's solvency ratio stood at 160.40% for 2021, well above the 100% regulatory minimum.
