Allianz Hungária is supervised by the Magyar Nemzeti Bank (MNB), which in June 2022 imposed a HUF 61 million fine on the insurer for deficiencies in its data processing, record-keeping, customer information, and complaint handling systems related to its MTPL product. The company publishes MNB supervisory decisions on its official website. Additional smaller consumer protection fines have been issued for failure to respond to complaints within statutory deadlines. The MNB maintains ongoing supervision of the insurer under the Insurance Act (2014/LXXXVIII) and Solvency II framework.
