Regulatory updates
In May 2025, the MNB fined UNIQA Biztosító Zrt. as part of a group fine totalling HUF 103 million imposed on nine insurers for product oversight and management deficiencies related to group loan protection insurance sold via bank channels. UNIQA was also required to comply with the MNB's Recommendation 12/2024 (XII.10.) by reviewing the expected performance of investment unit-linked life and pension insurance asset portfolios. UNIQA participates in the government-backed home insurance premium freeze, keeping rates below their 31 December 2024 levels through mid-2026.
