Regulatory updates
Allianz p.l.c. is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland and is subject to its Consumer Protection Code and Minimum Competency Code. The Central Bank published its 2026 Regulatory & Supervisory Outlook Report on 26 February 2026, setting out five key supervisory priorities – consumer treatment, financial resilience, digitalisation and IT, climate change, and regulatory enhancement – plus preparation for the Solvency II reforms coming into effect from January 2027. John Ryan, Chief Underwriting Officer of Allianz Ireland, chairs the Insurance Ireland Flood Taskforce, which in August 2026 proposed a new €24 levy per insured household to establish a sustainable flood insurance fund and address Ireland's flood protection gap.
