Overview
BTA is one of the largest non-life insurers in Lithuania, operating as a branch of the Latvian-headquartered AAS BTA Baltic Insurance Company, which is wholly owned by Vienna Insurance Group AG of Austria. BTA entered the Lithuanian market in 2002 when the Latvian-capital insurer acquired 100% of the shares of the Lithuanian insurer "LTB Draudimas".
