ADB Gjensidige

ADB Gjensidige is registered with the Bank of Lithuania as a Lithuanian insurance undertaking (company code: 110057869, address: Zalgirio g. 90, LT-09303, Vilnius). On January 2, 2026, ERGO International AG completed its acquisition of ADB Gjensidige after receiving all required regulatory and competition approvals in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, with Gjensidige and ERGO becoming sister companies within the ERGO group. From April 29, 2026, Gjensidige stopped offering its own insurance products for new contracts and began distributing ERGO products instead. On May 4, 2026, Gjensidige transferred its rights and obligations under road carriers' civil liability insurance contracts to the insurer "If". On June 29, 2026, the Estonian Financial Supervision Authority approved a cross-border merger of ERGO Insurance SE with ADB Gjensidige; after completion, Gjensidige's business will continue under ERGO's insurance licence, operating through ERGO's Lithuanian and Latvian branches. The merger is expected to be completed by the end of 2026, at which point the Gjensidige brand will be phased out and the gjensidige.lt website will be taken offline (planned for end of October 2026), with customer services moving to ERGO's website and customer service lines.
