Groupama Zavarovalnica is the Slovenian branch of Groupama Biztosító Zrt. (Hungary), part of the French Groupama insurance group. Regulatory updates
In May 2022 the Insurance Supervision Agency of the Republic of Slovenia (AZN) authorized Groupama to begin operating on the Slovenian market as a branch of Groupama Biztosító Zrt. (Hungary), entering in partnership with OTP Bank; sales of insurance services started on 1 July 2022. The branch (matična številka 9117725000, davčna številka SI72608790) is registered with the Ljubljana District Court and is a member of the Slovenian Insurance Association (Slovensko zavarovalno združenje). It progressively expanded its product range, adding home insurance (Varen dom) in 2024 and motor insurance (Varen avto) in late 2024/2025, and opened a new head office at Dunajska cesta 128A in central Ljubljana in October 2024.
