The FMA published a notice on 7 August 2026 regarding a planned portfolio transfer from GARANTA Versicherungs-AG's Austrian branch to DONAU Versicherung AG Vienna Insurance Group. Separately, within the Vienna Insurance Group, leadership changes were announced for DONAU Versicherung, with Harald Riener succeeding Judit Havasi as CEO/Generaldirektor effective 1 July 2026, as Havasi moved to the VIG Group's Managing Board.
