GRAWE is supervised by the Austrian Financial Market Authority (FMA). As of 1 January 2026, the FMA assumed full responsibility for monitoring and enforcing financial sanctions across the Austrian financial sector — including insurance undertakings — consolidating sanctions enforcement with AML/CFT supervision into a single authority. The FMA's 2026 supervisory priorities focus on resilience, digitalisation (including DORA enforcement for operational resilience), and debureaucratisation. Austrian banks and insurers remain well-capitalised according to the FMA's December 2025 assessment. GRAWE was again recognised as the most-recommended Austrian insurer in the 2025 FMVÖ Recommender Award in the category 'Insurances nationwide'.
