Regulatory updates
Bulstrad Vienna Insurance Group holds an active insurance licence (No. 11/16.07.1998) issued by the FSC. Since April 2026, the Bulgarian MTPL market has been under intense regulatory scrutiny after the FSC banned competitor DallBogg from selling new motor liability policies, and the Commission for Protection of Competition (CPC/KZK) opened a cartel investigation into the Association of Bulgarian Insurers and 16 insurers, including Bulstrad, over coordinated MTPL price hikes for taxi operators. Bulstrad itself has not been named in any FSC sanction or licence restriction to date, but remains subject to the sector-wide CPC probe.
