Regulatory updates
In September 2025 the FSC approved the transfer of the insurance portfolio of OZOF Doverie ZAD to Generali Insurance AD, effective 20 September 2025, consolidating Generali's position in the Bulgarian health insurance market. Earlier in 2025 the FSC approved an indirect acquisition of a qualifying stake in Generali Insurance AD by Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena S.p.A. The company holds an active insurance licence dating from March 1998 and has notified the FSC of its intention to operate across EU member states under freedom to provide services.
