Regulatory updates
Popermo Forsikring is registered with Finanstilsynet under FTID 51519. In 2020, Finanstilsynet issued a reprimand (påtale) to Popermo for having conducted insurance business in insurance classes 6 and 12 (hull and liability insurance for small vessels such as windsurfers, kitesurfers and small boats) without the required license, a practice the company had run since the 1990s before applying for and receiving proper authorization in September 2019. An earlier 2013 inspection report noted the company had ample solvency coverage (about 298% of its individual solvency requirement) and required updates to its IT security policy.
