Regulatory updates
In May 2026, IVASS authorised (Provvedimento n. 0106167 del 12/05/2026) the partial demerger of Genertel S.p.A. in favour of Generali Italia S.p.A., effective 1 October 2026, transferring the 'GenertelPremium' managed fund portfolio and related internal funds. IVASS Regulation No. 57 of 9 February 2026 introduced updated rules on the valuation of non-durable securities under Law No. 199/2025. From 15 January 2026, the Arbitro Assicurativo (Insurance Arbitrator) became operational as a new out-of-court dispute resolution system (Provvedimento IVASS n. 163/2025). IVASS Regulation No. 56/2025 (effective 8 April 2025) introduced updated rules on insurance certificates and accident report forms for motor vehicles and watercraft; insurers were also required by 8 April 2026 to make digital apps available for accident reporting. In July 2024, IVASS authorised the partial demerger of Genertellife S.p.A. in favour of Generali Italia S.p.A., Alleanza Assicurazioni S.p.A. and Genertel S.p.A. (effective 1 July 2024). Generali Italia is registered in the IVASS Register of Insurance Companies under no. 1.00021, and the Generali Group is registered under no. 026 in the register of insurance groups.
