EUROHERC osiguranje d.d. is the first privately owned insurance company in Croatia, founded in 1992 with private capital of Croatian citizens. It is the second-largest non-life insurer in Croatia by market share and is a member of the Agram Concern. The company specialises in motor, property, travel and liability insurance, operating through an extensive branch and sales network in Croatia, Austria and Italy.

Regulatory updates

In December 2023, HANFA's Administrative Council issued a compliance order against EUROHERC osiguranje d.d. for failing to follow an earlier HANFA order regarding timely processing and settlement of motor insurance claims in accordance with the Compulsory Insurance in Traffic Act. The company was given until 31 January 2024 to rectify the deficiencies, with potential fines of EUR 16,500 per board member for non-compliance. EUROHERC is also listed and actively supervised in HANFA's insurance company register, where it holds authorisation for a broad range of non-life and life insurance classes.
