GRAWE Hrvatska d.d. is the first international insurance company in Croatia, founded in 1993 (originally as Prima osiguranje d.d., renamed GRAWE Hrvatska in 2000). As part of the Austrian GRAWE concern, which has a tradition of more than 190 years, GRAWE Hrvatska has grown into the group's most successful subsidiary, offering life, health, property, motor, travel and liability insurance through more than 68 offices across Croatia.

Regulatory updates
GRAWE Hrvatska d.d. remains actively supervised by HANFA under the Insurance Act. In 2026, HANFA approved several Supervisory Board appointments for GRAWE Hrvatska, including Paul Swoboda and Gernot Reiter (mandates from 20 March 2026 to 19 March 2030, approved at the 59th Board meeting) and Georg Schneider (mandate from 1 July 2026 to 19 March 2030, approved at the 68th Board meeting). Earlier, HANFA approved a new five-year mandate for Management Board member Hrvoje Grčić (12 April 2024 to 11 April 2029) and a renewed mandate for Management Board member Nataša Kapetanović running from 1 July 2025 to 30 June 2030. These approvals reflect ongoing routine governance oversight rather than any sanctions or enforcement actions against the company.
