Alfa Vienna Insurance Group Biztosító Zrt. is one of Hungary's largest and most historically established insurers, tracing its roots to 1949. Originally operating as Állami Biztosító, then privatized in 1992 under Aegon, the company was acquired by Austria-based Vienna Insurance Group (VIG) in March 2022 and rebranded as Alfa VIG Biztosító in 2022-2023. It offers a comprehensive portfolio of motor, property, life, health, travel, and corporate insurance products.

Allianz Hungária Zrt. is Hungary's leading insurance company, a subsidiary of the German Allianz SE group. Originally established as Hungária Biztosító in 1986 following the end of the state insurance monopoly, Allianz acquired a 49% stake in 1990 and became the sole owner by 1996. The company offers a comprehensive range of personal and corporate insurance products including motor, property, life, health, travel, and cyber insurance.

Generali Biztosító Zrt. is one of Hungary's leading composite insurers, offering a full range of life, non-life, and reinsurance products to both retail and corporate clients. Part of the international Generali Group, the company has a history in Hungary dating back to 1832, and returned to the market after the political change in 1989. It is the sole subsidiary of Generali CEE Holding B.V. and operates under activity licence No. 09/1990 granted by the Hungarian National Bank.

Groupama Biztosító Zrt. is one of Hungary's leading composite insurers, offering a full range of life, non-life, property, motor, travel, health, savings and agricultural insurance products to individuals and businesses. It was founded in 1991 as Európa Biztosító, renamed Groupama Biztosító in 2004, merged with OTP Garancia Biztosító in 2009 to form Groupama Garancia Biztosító, and adopted its current name in 2015. It is a 100% subsidiary of French mutual group Groupama S.A.
